Michigan Association of School Psychologists (MASP):  your state-level professional organization, MASP offers professional development, advocacy, and a network of support for school psychologists in Michigan, often sharing resources relevant to student mental health and crisis intervention. TRAILS (Transforming Research into Action to Improve the Lives of Students):  a program based at the University of Michigan, TRAILS provides evidence-based mental health training and resources to schools, focusing on anxiety and depression, which are often co-occurring with suicide ideation. TRAILS Suicide Prevention Month resources:

TRAILS Suicide Prevention Risk Management training helps schools reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking, and connect students at risk of suicide with the care they need. There are audience-specific training options for ISD/administrators, school mental health professionals, school staff, and families, caregivers, and community members.

Other TRAILS Resources:

LivingWorks’ programs provide caregivers and other helpers with awareness and skills that help to save lives. These programs are part of national, regional, and organizational suicide prevention strategies around the world. The MSP OSS has recently included the awareness training in their school safety academies.
