    Hello,

My name is Emily Crawford, I am a school psychology doctoral candidate. I am conducting a survey-based research study exploring training experiences and overall preparedness of school psychologists to conduct assessments for preschool aged children. This study is intended to update and elaborate on existing research into preschool evaluation practices within our field on a national scale.

At present, preschool aged children are identified for special education and related services at a much lower rate than older children. Findings from this study may also serve as guidance for states to bolster their services to preschool aged children.

I am asking that you distribute the attached email to your state association members or post it to your state association website. Participants will be offered the opportunity to enter a raffle to win one of five $20 Amazon gift cards.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns to the researcher (Emily Crawford, USM doctoral candidate) at emily.beard@maine.edu, or the dissertation chair (Garry Wickerd, PhD, NCSP) at garry.wickerd@maine.edu

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Emily Crawford, University of Southern Maine doctoral candidate
