DESCRIPTION & OBJECTIVES:

This session will elaborate on the previously recorded session overview of Michigan's CSMHS guidance. Participants will explore actionable, evidence-based strategies for translating this state framework into effective, tiered mental health and behavioral services. The session is specifically designed to discuss the roles of the school psychologist and school social worker in implementing, evaluating, and sustaining a comprehensive mental health system within their schools and districts.

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify specific, high-leverage intervention and assessment practices for the school psychologist and social worker across Tiers 1, 2, and 3 of the CSMHS model.

  2. Develop strategies for leveraging data-based decision-making to monitor the fidelity and efficacy of CSMHS implementation.

  3. Define the consultation and collaboration necessary with administrators, educators, and community partners to sustain a comprehensive school mental health system.
